press, “I’m going to have a wonderful night. I’m so excited to be here, I’m so excited the album went number one… to be here and to be nominated andperforming. This is going to be a funnight.

Christina Aguilera Glams Up American Music Awards

With a hot new single, as well as a much sought-after greatest hits album, Christina Aguilera is riding high on a post pregnancy comeback. And it was more of the same fabulousness at tonight’s American Music Awards.

The “Ain’t No Other Man” siren definitely brought her own style to the event’s arrivals area, sporting a figure-hugging silver gown with her hair in flowing curls.

Shailene Woodley Hits the AMA Red Carpet

Taking to the Nokia Theatre red carpet, teen star Shailene Woodley was spotted hamming it up for photographers ahead of the 2008 American Music Awards on Sunday evening (November 23).

Among a long list of presenters, Shailene is known for her role in the ABC Family series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” in which she stars as Amy Juergens.

Meanwhile, the night’s performers include a star-studded lineup including Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, New Kids On The Block, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Kanye West and many more.

“This is poised to be the most outstanding American Music Awards in the show’s 36-year history,” said dick clark productions President Orly Adelson. “We have set a new record with the number and caliber of this year’s performers. We are beyond excited to bring music fans across the globe the 2008 AMAs.”

Miley Cyrus Readies For Birthday at the AMAs

She’s celebrating her 16th birthday today (November 23), and last evening Miley Cyrus was spotted taking part in rehearsals for the 2008 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

When she wasn’t busy singing onstage, the “Hannah Montana” starlet took time to chat with/pose alongside the host of this year’s show, late-night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel.

Asked if anyone should worry about being heckled at the show, Kimmel told People magazine: “It’s Miley Cyrus’s birthday that night. I think the New Kids on the Block will be there. [But] it’s not like I’m gunning for anyone in particular.”

Joking about how mature Miley seems for her age, Kimmel adds, “She seems like an adult to me. She seems like she’s 33.”

In all seriousness, the latest reports indicate that Taylor Swift and Julianne Hough are planning a Sweet 16 birthday surprise for Miss Cyrus during the night’s broadcast - surely a not-to-be-missed moment!

Hilary Duff’s Weekend Pampering

treating herself to a little personal pampering, Hilary Duff was spotted reading a script while getting her toenails done at the Venus Nails salon in Toluca Lake on Friday (November 21).

Touching up on her look, the former “Lizzie McGuire” starlet was back at it again yesterday, trying to hide her disheveled hairdo as she ventured into the Jose Neira Salon near her house.

Looking the part of teen heartthrob, Zac Efron was spotted out filling up at a Mobil gas station in Toluca Lake, California on Saturday (November 22).

The “High School Musical” hunk was dressed casually in a KEEMA Megabucks t-shirt with jeans, a pair of Chuck Taylor’s and celebrity shades as he filled-up his black Audi.

Meanwhile, in related news, it was recently reported by Us magazine that “Gossip Girl” star Michelle Trachtenberg desperately wants to wear a t-shirt that reads “Zac Efron’s My Daddy,” to the premiere of her upcoming movie, “17 Again”.

The 23-year-old (two years older than Zac) added that she didn’t think that Efron’s HSM co-star girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens would be all too pleased, telling, “I don’t think his girlfriend would like it much!”
